This Down Sleeping Bag is very lightweight and very warm, and it rolls up into a comparatively small pack. Before I start my review please note that I am 6' 3" and 230lbs and I am at the upper end of the size chart recommended for this item. Some of the issues I had may be related to this fact.
The stuff sack is well designed with 3 cinch straps to pull the roll tight. The bag pulls out and unrolls easily and top is easily identifiable with the white branding and orange lining at the head. The zippers are YKK but I had a little trouble zipping them, it felt at first like the fabric was being pinched, but there is plenty of space between the zipper and the lining. I am putting it down to the bag being brand new and barely used.
The zipper does not run all the way down to the base of the bag, which is a new experience for me, never having used a mummy style bag before. You have to "step in" rather than slide in but I will get used to that. I struggled pulling the zipper up in one motion once I was inside the bag, but having broader shoulders I had to adjust my position a few times to fully close myself in.
The integrated pillow did not support my head, but instead sat under my neck. This was not uncomfortable and maybe this is part of the design. There is a cinch cord across the chest/shoulders to keep the bag tight and keep the cold out, and there is one around the opening to pull it tight around the face. I like that there is some extra material which you can pull up over your mouth and nose and get really cozy.
A pocket is included on the inside which is (just) big enough to hold my Galaxy S22 Ultra phone, and it has a hook and loop tab to keep it mostly closed. Not sure I am going to get much out of it, but at least I know it's there if I need it.
There is a mesh bag included for storage when not packed for use, and there are 2 loops at the foot of the bag to hang it up for cleaning and airing.
Rolling it up and stuffing it back in the bag was a big struggle. It compresses nicely when folded the first few times, but the shiny surface slides around on itself like crazy so just when you think you have it rolled tight and ready it explodes out at the other end. Invest in a couple of bungee cords to act as a third and fourth hand to pack it away. Once it is in the stuff sack it compresses down very nicely.
Overall I liked this bag a lot, even though it was a little tighter and smaller than others I am used to. I don't think it will replace my everyday camping bag, but for emergency use, especially in the middle of winter, it would be a great thing to have in the trunk.
